The primary cause of perforations and intestinal tears is the inappropriate use of toys. These injuries can be life threatening and should be addressed by medical professionals immediately.

Executive Summary
Examination of accessories and instruments to expand your fisting capabilities. Primarily focused on dildos and plugs, but other toys may be discussed.
Role and Purpose

'Dude! How can you take that so deep?' is one of the most frequent questions people ask me as a ff-Bottom. While there are probably some genetics involved, the answer is always 'lots and lots and lots of SOLO toy play'.
Repeated one-on-one time between a Bottom and his toys provides the privacy and control needed to make the slow gains with width and depth. Similar and consistent gains are rarely acheived in training sessions with Tops. In order to master any type of fisting (basic, depth, width/girth, punch, or speed), you will need to build a sizeable toybox of dildos for regular use.
Extensive dildo play is the only guaranteed path to fisting mastery.
Toybox Content
There are hundreds of choices available when stocking your toybox, but only a specific subset of toys will help expand the fist chute.

Eliminate beads, balls, and wands from your training routine. Although they are fun during sessions with others, they do little for expanding your fisting skills.
Similarly, butt plugs are helpful for building up endurance and capacity in the rectum, but with few exceptions, are not very helpful in the remaining aspects of fist training.
Dildos are best suited for training your hole. When used effectively in pairs (as warm-up and work-out toys), your hole will be ready for deeper and wider play.
The following chart provides further details on each category of anal play toys.

Toy Progression: Starter, Intensity, Endurance/Stamina
The article Art & Science: Lord of the Rings provides tips for expanding the fist chute with a 'holy trinity' of toys. Regular training should encompass a starter toy and an endurance/stamina toy or an intensity toy (preferrably all three).
- Starter - Starter toys prep your hole for intensity and stamina training. As your warm up toy, it should be something you have mastered previously, and more importantly, it should be something you can take balls-deep with ease without poppers. A few minutes with this toy should have your hole loosened for the more vigorous aspects of your training session.
- Intensity - Intensity toys should push your limits for either depth or girth (usually not both together). They should be trail blazers—breaking new ground in the fist chute. Once mastered, they can become your starter or your endurance/stamina toy. Progression with this toy will be slow, sometimes only a millimeter per session.
- Endurance/Stamina - Endurance toys build up your stamina for lengthier play sessions by working the fist chute to exhaustion. They are helpful in duration challenges (sitting on a dildo/plug balls deep for as long as possible), and for power-plunge challenges (repeatedly pistoning deep, hard, and usually fast).
Once you've mastered an 8 X 6 inch (20 X 16 cm) cock and a dildo just slightly larger (9 X 6 inch | 22.5 X 16 cm), then you can begin training to comfortably take fists deeper (mid-forearm), wider, and faster. You may have already taken a fist at shallow depth, but the trick is to reach the right depth so that your brain and body can get accommodated to more extreme fisting. That sweet spot is about three inches past the wrist—once mastered, everything else is easy.

Your First Set of Toys
The first trinity of toys to help reach this goal should be budget grade. Avoid more expensive toys until you know you are fully committed to depth and power fisting.
Starter
Your Starter Toy is the John Holmes by Doc Johnson. It may take a while to master (in fact, it should probably be your Intensity Toy for shallower 'wrist only' fisting). The gradual girth expansion and length of this toy make it ideal for the warm-up stretch. You can use either the standard or UltraSKYN version.
Intensity
Your Intensity Toy is the Dick Rambone by Doc Johnson (or Real Deal Monster 14.0 by Fort Troff). It's length will straighten out the rectum and will begin conditioning the second ring for deeper fisting. Don't worry about mastering the full depth of this toy. Shoot for 10 inches (about 2/3 of the toy) at this stage of your training. Piston the fuck out of it during your intensity sessions. It will be a long time before you master the depth of this toy—once you do, you'll be just a few inches short of the elbow.
Endurance/Stamina
The final toy in the trio is BAM/Hung by Doc Johnson (or Real Deal Monster 12.5 by Fort Troff). It's girth will simulate a wrist/forearm inside your hole without necessarily popping the second ring (sigmoid colon). Sit on this and stay there for as long as possible. You can also add a butt plug for endurance training, although the narrow stems don't replicate the fisting experience, so their benefit is limited to building up stamina of the rectum, not the first ring.
WildAssDude's Ass Play Basics article discusses these same three toys as the core for fisting training.
Fisting Toy Classifications
FFuck-Bottoms typically have specific toys that facilitate fisting activities. Three categories of toys are typical for this arsenal: ring poppers, hole/chute stretchers, depth plungers. Each has a specific use in training.
Ring Poppers
Ring-poppers replicate the experience of the widest part of the hand penetrating the first ring of the fist chute. The ideal ring popper is a plug or dildo that only narrows moderately after the hump instead of immediately tapering to a narrow stem. Such designs replicate the hand and wrist and provide more realistic training experiences. Ring-poppers are also good for punch fist training.

Tango serves as both a depth plug and ring popper. Mid to advanced popping play is accommodated by three bulbs.

The Intimidator (or Rockeye) allows you to gradually stretch open the hole.
- When training for your first fist, do not start with ring poppers. Master a wide dildo first, then add a ring popper to your training routine.
- Wearing larger butt plugs prior to a fisting session is sometimes counterproductive. They can wear out your lower fist chute, increase sensitivity of your hole, and decrease your overall play time.
- Use specialty toys at the end of your session after your hole has been well stretched to expand your limits for the next session.
- Ring poppers are usually more round than oval, but both are helpful in your routine. Oval toys prep the hole for more severe pops from rounder toys.
Tips for Ring Poppers
Ring poppers can double as hole stretchers but are often too short to realign and stretch the fist chute for deeper play.
Hole & Chute Stretchers
Hole and chute stretchers expand the depth and width capacity of the lower fist chute. Their primary purpose is to increase a Bottom's capacity to take the wrist past the second ring, into the sigmoid.
The girth of these toys is substantially wider than a regular large (8 x 6 inch | 20 x 16 cm) cock, and the minimum length is no less than eight insertable inches. They are often marketed 'for novelty use only' because of their large size. Most people, when seeing such a large toy, question 'How the fuck does that fit in a hole?'. Fisters gobble these things up.

Toys series marketed as BAM, HUNG, and CYBORG are good for stretch challenges.

Colossus (or Black Destroyer) provides fist-width-stretching into the descending colon.
- Preheated toys can relax the fist chute upon insertion for greater penetrability. Follow user manuals for heating instructions (most toys can soak in very hot water to absorb heat).
- Softer toys work great for hole stretching and penetration into the sigmoid. Their softer texture provides some give and is less abrasive in your chute. These toys are marketed under names such as Cyberskin and UltraSKYN (UR, UR3).
- Always have a starter toy or a set of starter toys to warm up for longer and girthier toys.
- Work your way up to larger toys gradually—do not up-size in girth more than a quarter inch (1/2 to 1/3 cm) at a time. Retire smaller toys to your starter toy group.
Tips for Hole/Chute Stretchers
The chute stretcher preps the Bottom for the next stage of fisting: the ultimate depth plunge.
Depth Plungers
Depth plungers are the key to elbow, bicep, and pit depth fisting. They come in varying girths and densities based on the training activity at hand. Double-headers, colon snakes, and specialty toys are all included in this category.
- Double-headers are the initial pioneers into the sigmoid, descending, and even the transverse colon. They help open the route for girthier toys and arms.
- Colon-snakes are often longer than double headers, thus providing bicep and pit depth training. Often, they are so long, it requires a partner to assist in feeding the snake into the hole.
- Specialty toys introduce the trifecta of length, firmness, and girth to the access deeper regions of the fist chute. Their qualities replicate the different aspects of the human arm inside the fist chute.

Long colon snakes (24" - 30") open all rings that an arm encounters in depth fisting.

The Dick Rambone's rigidity makes an ideal starting toy to straighten the iliac colon.
- To avoid an awkward trip to the ER, do not insert toys past their base. If the base passes the sigmoid, it may become difficult or impossible to retrieve.
- Use colon snakes to open and the final ring. Once open, more rigid toys are needed to realign the transverse for bicep and pit depth fisting.
- Use these toys to develop resting spots inside the fist chute (through endurance training). Ideal resting spots are: 1) two inches past the wrist, 2) four inches to the elbow (wrist completely through the iliac colon), and 3) two inches past the elbow.
Tips for Depth Plungers
Acquisition
Purchasing dildos can be a daunting task, especially when you are in the specialty sizes that assist with the fisting process. Prices often start in the fifties and can go up to five hundred dollars. Nobody wants to spend that kind of money and then abandon the toy because it doesn't fit right!
Toy Charts
Reaching extreme depths will require a substantial investment in toys. You can refer to these charts to help you begin stocking your toybox. An additional toy review / process for expanding the fist chute is available in the article Art & Science: Lord of the Rings.

Manufacturers & Vendors
There are several manufacturers providing toys to the market. There are many additional retailers that stock and resale their toys. The following manufacturers are recommended for specific toy lines for depth fisting. If the manufacturer isn't the retailer, suggested vendors are provided below.

Professional grade toys made of body safe materials (medical-grade, ISO-certified silicone). Toys come in sizes S to XL (and an occasional XXL), and are priced appropriately for the superior quality and design. Available in multiple colors (Natural is darker than most flesh-colored dildos) and two varieties of firmness: medium firm and 75% soft.
Finn Vortex's preferred toy vendor.
Purchasing Tips
The website typically has monthly sales, so you can build your arsenal one toy at a time. Ask for your vaculock hole to be bored shallow (no more than three inches deep). The medium firm toys will help straighten the chute, while the 75% softness may help you across your current barriers.

SquarePegToys was the pioneer of both platinum silicone toys and specialty fetish toys for hole play. Toys from traditional manufacturers are not as safe, nor customized for anal experience. Various colors are available; gun-metal and bronze have similar firmness levels, while black has less give.
These toys excel in expanding and pushing limits—no other vendor provides toys that can stretch a hole wider or penetrate hole deeper.
Purchasing Tips
The only disadvantage with SquarePeg is that advanced models are pricey. It can be tricky to get the true-size reference when ordering online. Finn suggests a review of videos from Mr S Leather to determine sizing needs.
It's also beneficial to find other SquarePeg aficionados for toy exchanges to determine if a design and size are right for you.

Sizing
It may be difficult to determine the size from photos or descriptions. The following tools can help you determine the correct toy for you.
- Circumference - The distance around something. Cocks and dildos are usually measured in circumference. A guy is typically considered hung-thick at 8 X 6 inches (20.5 X 15.5 cm).
- Diameter - The distance from one side of a circle to another. Toys are sometimes measured in diameter. An 8 X 6 inch (20.5 X 15.5 cm) cock is usually about 2 inches (5 cm) across. By definition, the radius is half the distance of the diameter.
- Metric/English Conversions - One inch is equal to 2.54 centimeters. If the average cock is 6.5 inches long in America, it's 16.5 cm in the rest of the world.
- Quick References - To help you quickly visual girth and length, here are some reference points:
- Length: 6 inches = US Dollar Bill
- Length: 11 inches = Leaf of Paper
- Girth/Diameter: 2.5 inches = Soda Can
- Girth/Circumference: 8.25 inches = Soda Can
- Girth/Diameter: 1.75 inches = Toilet Paper Roll
- Girth/Circumference: 5.5 inches = Toilet Paper Roll
Enter either the circumference or diameter of your toy/unit to convert to the opposite value.
Specify the length of your toy/unit to convert to the opposing measurement system.
Composition
There are many different types of materials used in anal toys: glass, metal, silicone, rubber/latex, and vinyl/PVC. Consider the composition prior to purchase.
- Glass - Toys made from annealedAnnealed (adj)glass can be heated or cooled to add additional sensation to the lower fist chute. Girth is generally limited, except in plugs, so these are usually foreplay toys in fisting scenes.
having completed a heating and slow cooling process that removes internal flaws/stressors and strengthens overall structure (Pyrex, for example) - Metal - Similar to glass, these toys conduct hot and cold temperatures well for initial foreplay. Size also limits these toys to foreplay, with the exception of baseball bats. The rigidity of the bat prevents insertion past the pelvic opening (about 10-12 inches deep).
- Rubber/Latex - Both synthetic and natural rubbers are used in toys (latex is a rubber derivative). Latex toys are extremely sensitive to silicone lubes and natural oils (such as Crisco®) and should be stored separately from all toys to prevent disintegration.
- Vinyl/PVC - Vinyl/PVC are plastics common in most basic / budget-grade toys. PVC toys come in many formats, from jellies, solids, and realistic texture (Ultraskyn/UR3). These toys last about five years before the PVC begins to break down and leach chemicals (this will cause a burning sensation in your ass). At that point, discard or cover with condoms prior to use.
Most manufacturers advertise PVC toys as Phthalate-free. Phthalates a family of industrial chemicals that are carcinogenic and are used to soften plastics. Avoid toys from Chinese manufacturers even when it is labeled phthalate-free.
- Silicone - Professional-grade toys are usually crafted from non-porous, hypoallergenic, non-toxic, phthalate-free, and temperature-resistant silicone.
While many manufacturers use terms such as platinum grade, premium platinum grade, and medical grade in their marketing materials, most are unaware of the actual grade of silicone used in their toys. For example, many will state the silicone is medical grade. Price and supply restrictions make it impossible to build toys from such material.
'High-grade platinum silicone does not melt when placed in contact with silicone lube or other silicone toys—this is a myth. Manufacturers of platinum silicone toys who state their toys will melt when placed in contact with other silicone toys, or when used with silicone lubricant, are either selling something other than high-grade platinum silicone or are not very knowledgeable of the product they are selling.'[1]
Be aware of vendors that cannot validate that their silicone is ISO 10993-10 certified. ISO 10993-10 indicates it will not irritate skin when used at limited intervals. Many US and Chinese manufacturers falsely advertise the type of silicone used inside their products.

Safety
Injuries
- QUICK REFERENCE
- Injuries, Ailements, & Colorectal Surgeries
- Health & Wellness
The most common perforation injuries are due to toys. Keep in mind the following factors when playing with toys:
- Length to Girth Ratio - Avoid any toy that has a circumference similar to that of a pencil, including douches. Specifically, avoid narrow, firm items that can pass into the the sigmoid colon.
- Firmness of Materials - Avoid solid toys that have little give. As you progress deeper and deeper, they are likely to hit a wall and puncture it.
- Incremental Increases - Avoid large jumps in toy size. Always warm up to the next size, usually no more than 1/4 inch wider than your previously mastered toy.
- Forced Insertion - Avoid forcing a toy into the fist chute if it doesn't want to go. The best way to get a toy to move deeper is slow pistoning just below the area of stoppage.
Oops — Too Deep!
Unless you have mastered both depth and girth fisting, do not insert an entire toy (or other object) past the anal canal. Even advanced fisters can lose objects deep inside their holes.
Things Surgically Removed from People's Butts[2]
Expelling Lost Objects
In the event you do not follow my advice and lose something up your hole, do not panic. In most cases, it will come out over time. The worst thing you can do is stick other objects up your hole to retrieve it. This often results in perforation and the end of your fisting career.
- Start meditating immediately. Breath slowly and fully for at least ten minutes before attempting to expel the item.
- Try not to worry about the potential consequences should it require a trip to the ER. The object will likely be expelled automatically, but only if you are relaxed.
- After calming down, fill your fist chute with water (via a douching routine). Once full, squat down, inhale four large hits of poppers, count to ten, and push and exhale. Repeat if necessary.
Fisting Tips for Removing Lost Objects
If you end up in the ER, just explain you were getting kinky and sticking unusual objects inside you. ER staff see this type of stuff all of the time. The funny part for them are the falsified stories, such as "I was washing dishes naked when I slipped and fell on this watermelon. It just slid right into my butt.'
Still Want to Play with Billiard Balls?
Yeah! It's kinda hot—but dangerous. Getting a ball stuck past the second ring is pretty difficult to expel, even when following the tips above. Furthermore; multiple balls inside tend to pinch the intestinal wall and cause bleeding.

If you still feel compelled to take a pool ball or thirteen, use a safety mechanism while training your hole to accept and expel them. Take a nylon stocking and insert the ball into it, so that you can pull it out in the event of an emergency.
The following films demonstrate billiard play by xTube god LovetheAss. Note the difficulty that even he, a very advanced player, has at expelling balls.
Unless you have a good size rosebud, can fist yourself, can easily take a doube-fist, and have a friend on call to retrieve 'lost' deeper balls, do not try this at home.
Care and Cleaining
You can extend the life of your toys by proper cleaning and maintenance.
Lubrication
Water-based specialty lubes, specifially J-lube, K-lube, and Xanthan Gum are the best choices for every toy in your toybox. Follow the lube suggestions provided by the manufacturer, noting that silicone lubes and Crisco can sometimes destroy toys. Several lube recipes for toy play are available in Art & Science: Lubrication.
Cleaning
Most toys come with speciifc cleaning instructions. Follow the guidelines suggested by the manufacturer. If you are not exchanging toys, then soap and water is sufficient before and after you play. For a disinfecting clean, toys can be soaked in a sinkful of soapy water with 10:1 water/bleach solution to fully sanitize and eliminate bacteria and odors.

If sharing toys, then you should sterilize your toys. Higher quality toys are typically rated boil safe and top rack dishwasher safe; but beware of disfiguring toys on the dish racks and melting cheaper grade toys while boiling.
If boiling toys, add a tea cloth (not a terry cloth) to the bottom of your pan prior to inserting the toy. Avoid touching the toy with the sides of the pan. Boil 3 to 5 minutes. Tongs are helpful to insert and remove the toy.

Storage
Store your toys according to manufacturer/vendor recommendations: usally a cool, dry place next to toys of similar composition. Lower grade toys should be stored away from more expensive toys in duffle bags instead of plastic bins. Platinum silicone toys can be stored in bins without concern for individual wrapping.
The best options for toy storage are often found in building supply stores such as Home Depot: bins, bags, rolling duffles, and metal tool chests all make great toyboxes.
Disposal
Silicone, glass, and metal toys will last a very long time, but all other types of toys need to be periodically reviewed for disposal. Keep in mind these items when evaluating your toys.
- Odors - If your toy smells funny, then chemicals inside it are leaching onto your other toys and you.
- Feel - If your toy burns your ass when inserted, then carcinogens are being absorbed by your body.
- Appearance - If there are cracks, tears, or pocking, then it is impossible to clean and sanitize, thus introducing mold and bacteria into your body each time you play.
Some experts suggest you discard all PVC/Latex toys every six months. I've had mine for several years, though I rarely use them any longer.
